Details

This fascinating open water trip departs from our Portal building on the Birmingham New Road. From there, you’ll travel to Tipton Green Junction then down the Old Main Line over Tividale Aqueduct to the Brades Hall Junction. Descending through the Brades Locks you’ll then travel up the Gower Branch Canal to join the Birmingham New Main Line. At Factory Locks you’ll climb back up the flight to rejoin the Dudley Canal and head back to where you began at Todd’s End.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate any dogs other than assistance dogs on our boats. If you have any particular access requirements please ring us before booking.

Your journey starts at the Portal building on the Birmingham New Road, where you depart at 1.00pm. Journey time on the open water can vary as the boat may need to wait for other canal traffic, however you should arrive back at the Portal between 3.30pm and 4.30pm.

Tickets booked online will arrive by email and will not be posted out.

Please note; our open water trips require a minimum of 10 passengers booked to be able to run. If your chosen date fails to reach the minimum requirements we will offer you a choice of any other future open water trip that has available seats instead.
