If you wish to find out more about volunteering and the sort of opportunities we normally have you can complete an enquiry form and send it back to us, info@dctt.org.uk. Please fill in the form with as much detail as possible indicating the type of volunteering you would like to get involved with. (for example, meeting visitors, children’s activities, gardening)
Alternatively you can call the office, 0121 557 6265 ext.205 and speak with our engagement officer who will be happy to give you more information about how you can get involved in volunteering.
We’re currently looking for Volunteers to form a brand new Volunteer Boat Crew to support with our Historic Boats. This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved with

Historic boat maintenance

Moving of boats, delivering boats to the dry dock, boat rallies and events

Tow path duties

Helping with our Corporate Volunteering clean up days

Helping with Open Water trips during the summer months

A message from our Volunteer Coordinator:
Here at Dudley Canal and Caverns a huge part of what I do here is working with the incredible volunteers we have here on site.
Volunteering has always played a huge part in our history and continues to do so. Our volunteers support us and the site everyday; on the towpath with the boat trips, managing the site by gardening, fixing all of the bits and bobs and taking care of customer by answering their questions and pointing them in the right direction.
They also support us in connecting with our local communities by running projects such as Chit Chat and Tunnel Tots, and helping out with our School visitors.
