Two Tunnel Tour

Enjoy a full day out on the waterway


Embark on this spectacular 6 hour voyage and you’ll enjoy a fascinating tour right through the heart of the Black Country, taking in both the Dudley and Netherton Tunnels.

The boat travels through the Dudley Tunnel then down the striking flight of locks at the Parkhead Conservation Area along the Dudley No 2 canal before arriving at Bumble Hole Conservation Area and the impressive and historic Cobbs Engine House.

Please note that a packed lunch is advisable.

Following a 30 minute  stop, the journey continues through Netherton Tunnel and up the flight of Factory Locks on the Birmingham to Wolverhampton main line before returning to the towpath at Dudley.

It’s an incredible odyssey right through the Black Country, introducing visitors to the area’s magnificent feats of waterway engineering, enticing natural beauty and its historic industrial landscape.

The Two Tunnel Tour tunnel trips operate from April to October on selected dates; see the calendar to the right for availability.

Please bring a packed lunch and drinks, however our cafe will be open prior to departure for you to buy hot drinks and snacks.


Your journey starts at the Portal building on the Birmingham New Road (A4123) where you depart by boat at 10.00am.

We regret that no dogs except guide dogs are allowed on site.

Tickets booked online will arrive by email and will not be posted out.

Please bring a packed lunch and drinks which you are welcome to eat on the boat.

If a visitor requires another person as their essential carer to support them and enable them to access the canal trips, then this person is admitted for half price for our longer boat trips and special events.
