A Black Country Picnic on the Canals of Dudley

A great way to spend 3 hours, cruising around the canals with a black country picnic to enjoy at your leisure.
Come aboard the Vic Smallshire, our covered dining boat.
A 3 hour cruise around the canals of Dudley and Tipton is a treat but combine this with a Black Country themed picnic which you can enjoy at your leisure – its a winner! Cheese, onion and black pudding cobs, scratchings, Bank’s beer and other treats are packed ready for your arrival.
For your comfort there is a washroom on board as well as a licensed bar, soft music and friendly crew to ensure your evening is as relaxing as can be. We do have card facilities on the boat but service out on the water can be ropey so we do recommend bringing cash for the bar.
Please note that 3 hours is an approximate trip time – as on the roads we can encounter traffic on the canals, which can mean the trip runs over.
The boat departs promptly at 6 pm, so please arrive at least 15 minutes before to ensure you have time to board.
This boat is made up of tables for 2 – single tickets may be sat with other passengers.
Tickets are £27.50 per person and include your 3 hour cruise as well as your picnic. 6.00pm departure.

Vegetarian options are available; please let us know your requirements once you have booked and at least 7 days in advance to ensure we can cater for your requirements. If you have particular dietary requirements please contact emily@dctt.org.uk who will work with our caterers to see what we can offer for you.
Please note; we reserve the right to change the menu at any time and unfortunately we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment. A minimum of ten diners will be required for the trip to run – in the event of cancellation due to low numbers we will offer an alternative date. In the event of cancellation due to canal closures or problems with the boat we will offer an alternative date. The picnic bags are not included in the cost of the package. All diners will require a ticket regardless of age – if you wish to bring an infant who will not be eating, please let us know before you book.
